How to Choose Coffee Beans for Your Brewing Method
A shot of various people drinking different coffee

The best coffee isn't the most expensive one. It's the one that matches the way you enjoy your coffee.

If you drink your coffee black, look for lighter or medium roasts. They let the bean's natural flavours shine, whether fruity, nutty, floral, or chocolatey, without overpowering them.

If you love coffee with milk, medium-dark or dark roasts are usually a better choice. Their richer body and deeper chocolate or caramel notes hold their own even after adding milk.

If you especially drink South Indian filter coffee, you need body, crema, and strength. A 100% arabica blend without chicory is your answer. The Waterfall Reserve is built specifically for this. Its slightly fruity, caramely and intense decoction is designed to produce a perfect morning coffee.

Your brewing method matters too:

  • For Pour-over or drip: Use light to medium roasts for a clean, flavourful cup.
  • For French press: Use medium roasts for a fuller body.
  • For Espresso: Use medium-dark roasts if you like bold flavours or medium roasts if you prefer balance.

And here's one tip that often gets overlooked: don't choose coffee only by roast level. Read the tasting notes and buy freshly roasted beans. Freshness has a bigger impact on flavour than most people realise.

There isn't a right coffee, but only the right coffee for you.

If you want to try everything first and then decide, start with the Discovery Pack. It is a combination of all four signature blends at 100g each.
